Daily Disaster Areas

K & B have a daily routine of…wake up, eat, play, nap, eat, play, take another nap and play, play, play…until dinner & bedtime.  There are those occasional days where they are extra fussy and fight their sleep in which case I resort to, “do what ever you want - just don’t cry!”

& THIS is the OUTCOME…

Disaster1

Somebody forgot to shut the bathroom door!

Disaster2

It’s a chore to have to pick up every day but that’s what OLDER KIDS are for =)

Disaster3

I can’t wait till they start picking up after themselves!

Disaster4

Need Christmas gift ideas?  They LOVE ziplock bags!!!

Disaster5

Someone forgot to shut the bathroom door AGAIN!

The Greatest Show on Earth!

Circus

clown

Hooray!!!  The Greatest Show on Earth came to Las Vegas & thanks to March of Dimes, we ALL got to see our VERY FIRST CIRCUS for FREE (Curt’s 2nd time)!  It was a fun filled, action packed event & we had a blast.  Even our teenie-bopper Sierra wasn’t too cool to enjoy herself.  It was a must see that we will definitely be doing again the next time the Circus is in town.  By then, the babies will be a little older and they’ll be able to enjoy it even more.  But next time, I’ll try to remember to go on a full stomach or bring some snacks from home.  We were all hungry and of course the food was a bit pricey.  Popcorn $7, Cotton Candy $12 (with free hat), Sierra’s Snow Cone with Souvenir Cup was $15 and there wasn’t a single Souvenir Toy under $12.  Oh well…luckily they only come once a year (I hope…LOL)!

CottonCandyHat

With this face, you’d think SHE was the one who had to dish out $12 for the cotton candy!

There were a bunch of SUPER DUPER acts that we loved, but here were some of our FAVS…

Circus_Motorcycles

Dad said this was one of his most favorite acts.  It was a total of S-E-V-E-N motorcycles riding in a steel globe at up to 65 mph at one time!  We’ve seen this before but it never ceases to amaze us.

Circus_Elephants

I personally enjoyed the elephant show.  It’s mind blowing to see how they can get huge elephants to do tricks.  They were holding each others tails, rolling over, dancing and it was all synchronized in perfect unison.  They even got one little elephant to stand on his head!

Circus_Tigers

The Tigers were pretty cool too.  Those were some BIG cats…probably the biggest I’ve ever seen!  They looked kind of ticked off too.  We were squeezing our cheeks, praying that this guy wasn’t gonna get eaten!

Circus_Foot

Out of ALL the acts, Sierra insisted that she liked this one the BEST.  She said this Foot-looping act performed by Brazilian “Super” Wellington Silva was exciting because he was dangling from the ceiling, upside down & she was afraid he was going to fall!

RinglingBrosCircus

All in All, we had a Rockin’ time at the Ringling Bros and Barnum & Baileys’s Circus, BUT…

Circus_Curt

I think the ADULTS had the MOST FUN!!!

*NOTE - All circus photos were obtained through various online rescources

Their 1st Aquarium!

Last Friday was the 8th Anniversary of the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay and admission was 1/2 off!  It would have been awesome if either Sierra was out of school or Dad was off but neither was the case.  So since Dad had to work, I took the 3 girls on a little outing.

It’s a lot harder to manage them when we’re out and about now compared to when they were smaller.  Now…they don’t like sitting in their stroller as much as they used to, they want to jump out of the wagon when we go shopping, they pull things off the shelves, throw their food on the ground in restaurants and they pretty much want, want, want, want, want, want, want!  Ahhhh…the joys of parenting…LOL!

Anyway, aside from our dining experience…the girls seemed to really enjoy staring at the fishes, sharks, turtles etc.  I didn’t get as many pictures as I would have liked but we still had fun!
